Monitoring Screen Time Early

 Today is the infamous Black Friday and we are all getting a jump start on our holiday shopping. Depending on the age of your children, there's a strong chance some form of technology is on the their wish list. At the same time, we are seeing so many news articles such as yesterday's Washington Post article about teens and the connection between the rise in depression and the amount of time they spend on their screens. Technology is a wonderful tool. Like all tools, we need to use them in moderation and remember the modeling begins with us, the parents, caregivers, and guardians. So many face to face skills are needed in order for us to grow up with solid mental health. From the time kids begin using their first screens, it's a good idea to be their mentor and help them monitor their screen time so they have the best of both worlds each age and stage of their young life.  Check out the article below:
